Parent/Guardians... We continue to ask your help in assessing student symptoms in the morning and also ask that, for the safety of others, you DO NOT send them to school if they are having symptoms at that time.

Return to School Information

The following changes were made to the “Returning To School” portion of the Start Well – Tiger Strong plans at the October 13th Board of Education meeting.
1.  The Ipswich School District strongly encourages students identified as “close contacts” to follow the SD-DOH recommendation of a 14-Day quarantine.
2.  Students following the District recommendation/requirement (depending on phase) of wearing a mask and identified as a potential “close contact” may remain in school under the following conditions:
·         The student remains symptom-free,
·         The student must wear a mask at ALL times (with the exception of lunch),
·         The student will be subject to daily temperature check(s).
3.  The district will use social distancing, length of contact time, and use of masks in determining whether an individual is considered a potential “close contact.”
The Ipswich School District is committed to providing the best education possible AND keeping students and staff safe while continuing to do their best to mitigate any spread of any virus. Many other protocols continue to remain in place including encouraging and strongly recommending the use of masks when necessary, frequent sanitizing and disinfecting, symptom checking (prior to coming to school), social distancing when possible, frequent hand washing, allowing only essential visitors at the school, etc. If you have questions about any of these protocols, please contact the school administration.
Please note that all plans and decisions are subject to change as we learn more and/or conditions change.
Please see the attached Starting Well - Tiger Strong and supporting documents for more information relating to starting school and school activities.
We thank you for your continued support of the Ipswich Public School District and we look forward to seeing all of you very soon!  Go Tigers!

Superintendent's Message

Welcome to our school! I am so pleased to welcome our new students as well as our returning students. We have made many recent improvements to our campus and we continue to expand our extra-curricular programs to ensure that all students may make the most of their time and explore a broad variety of interests. We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go. As always, I am happy to receive feedback and suggestions and my door is always open. Here’s to another great year!
