Dare To Dream It... Work To Achieve It.

Career Exploration and School-To-Work

As superintendent, I am thrilled to announce the expansion of our career exploration program within our district. We recognize that our students have a variety of interests and talents, and we want to support them in exploring their potential career paths. Our new career exploration class will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the skills and requirements needed for various careers. Through guest speakers, virtual and physical field trips, and hands-on projects, students will have the opportunity to explore different industries and learn about the education and training necessary for success in those fields.

We understand that many students may be uncertain about their career aspirations, and that is perfectly normal. That is why our career exploration class will also help students identify their strengths and interests, and connect them with resources and opportunities to further develop those skills. In today's rapidly changing job market, it is essential for students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen fields. Our career exploration program will not only prepare students for college and career, but also help them make informed decisions about their future.

In conjunction with our school board, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible education and opportunities. As Superintendent, I am confident that our expanded career exploration program will be a valuable addition to our middle school and high school curriculum and help our students achieve their goals.

In addition to our expanded career exploration program, I am excited to share that we will also be offering a more robust internship opportunity for our high school students. Through potential partnerships with many local businesses and organizations, we plan to give students the chance to gain real-world experience in their anticipated career fields.  Internships are a fantastic way for students to apply their classroom learning in a practical setting, develop new skills, and build their professional networks. By participating in internships, students can also gain a competitive edge when applying for college and future job opportunities.

We understand that balancing schoolwork and extracurricular activities can be challenging, which is why we are committed to providing our students with flexible scheduling options. Our internship program will be designed to allow students to spend a dedicated amount of time each day participating in these valuable opportunities without sacrificing their academic progress.

Internships are just one of the many ways we are working to ensure our students are prepared for success in the workforce. By providing our students with practical, hands-on experience, with the community’s help we would be helping them build the skills and confidence necessary to excel in any career they choose.

I am confident that our expanded career exploration program and internship opportunities will help our students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Thank you for your support as we continue to provide our students with the best possible education and opportunities.

Thank you for your continued support of our school district. Let's work together to empower our students to reach their full potential.

Safe Return To Learn

The Ipswich School District is committed to providing the best education possible AND keeping students and staff safe while continuing to do their best to mitigate any spread of any virus.  The Ipswich School District Board Of Education believes that in-person instruction is vital to each of our students and their educational growth and social-emotional well-being.  Therefore, many protocols continue to remain in place including encouraging the use of masks when necessary, frequent sanitizing and disinfecting throughout the district buildings, symptom checking of staff and students (prior to entering the school buildings), social distancing when possible, frequent hand washing, and allowing only essential visitors at the school, etc. If you have questions about any of these protocols, please contact the school administration at 605-426-6561.

Please note that all plans and decisions are subject to change as we learn more and/or conditions change.

Please see the attached SAFE RETURN TO IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION PLAN and any additional supporting documents for more information relating to starting school and school activities.

We thank you for your continued support of the Ipswich Public School District and we look forward to seeing all of you very soon!  Go Tigers!
